How to get tax refund from the Denmark?
1. Submit an Application
At first, you submit an application for a tax refund on our website or in the office to our representative. It will take few minutes.
2. Send TaxPack
We will provide you the TaxPack forms. You must sign them and send to our office or give them to our representative personally!
3. Receive your money

We take care of all the paperwork regarding your Danish tax return. Throughout the process, we liaise with the tax office on your behalf. Finally, the tax office will make a tax assessment and you get a refund.

2. Can I apply for a tax refund if I have not got an Annual tax assessment notice (Arsopgørelse) or last payslip?

3. When I will get refund money?
Tax office (SKAT) sends to taxpayers a Tax Assessment notice (Arsopgørelse) In March/April. The Tax Assessment is a letter with tax calculation and with information about tax repayments or tax underpayments. If you have paid too much tax, tax office (SKAT) will send your money directly into you bank account (via NEMKONTO) from 4 April unless it exceeds DKK 100,000.
4. Does everyone have to file a tax return in Denmark?
If you are a freelancer, self-employed, run a business or have income from more than one country you must file a tax return (Selvangivelse). However, if you want to get a tax refund - you will have to request necessary forms from SKAT or you can use our service.
5. Can I refund tax if I continue working in Denmark?
Yes, you can apply for a tax refund, even if you continue working and living in Denmark. Be advised that you can claim your tax refund for the last four years. For example, in March 2015 you can apply for a tax refund for the following tax years: 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011.
6. Will I be able to return to work in Denmark if I get a tax refund?
Yes, you can go back to work in Denmark and you can apply for a tax refund even if you are still working there. Tax Refund - is a general and legal procedure. It means that you have an overpayment of tax. The tax authority makes the tax calculation taking on account income, tax paid and eligible tax credits and allowances. Also they check your position for purpose of tax residency. If you’ve paid too much tax SKAT will send you a refund.
7. What is feriepenge?
Employees in Denmark may take 5 weeks paid vacation (holiday pay - feriepenge) if worked full year. Annual leave may be taken from May 1, after the end of the year, or earlier if you left Denmark. If you can not get your holiday money - take advantage of our help.
8. How can you check the amount of feriepenge?
You can check the amount in Feriekonto (holiday pay provider). Also you can find amount in your payslip in the field “Beskat. feriepenge”. In Denmark there are several organisations dealing with payment of Feriepenge. If you have not received a letter from one of these organizations you can check name of privider with your employer.
